"Delight thyself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."

One of the most amazing relationships I have with anybody is the one I have with Scout, our vet's Tennessee Walking Horse. Yet THE most satisfying relationship of all is the one I have with God, because it holds through everything, and cannot be taken away. "My" horse can be ruined; taken away. Yet God's faithfulness and love, power and presence, holds through all that life throws at me. God is the instigator of relationships, and He is in charege of every relationship I have. He is a relational God. He understands my need to relate and be related to...even with a horse (His own creation). Yet He designed me so that there is a hole that no relationship can fill except for the one with Him. That is to remind me that He is all I need. When everything else falls apart, everybody else doesn't come through...His presence, power, light, and love are so real in my life, I must keep going, even when I think I cannot....

I love you, Scout.
I love you most, God.

Okayy.....so I, Darby, got tired of the Great Peru Picture Post long before I finished it...ahh, well, Mom was, too

A few favorite shots from the last few months...random shots. Mom's not sure what she's going to do with my site within the next few months---Sony Imagestaion, which is the site most of my images are hosted from, is closing in Feb, so....bye bye pictures

I'm doing well--lazy as usual at home, but IPS will put me to work in a week or so I got a new lens, which I absolutely love, and another memory card that Mom snagged for a great price--a polarizing filter for my new lens....and that's about all, seriously. Oh, a flash sync cord I need for IPS--it looks waaay too complicated for Mom--she is not even taking it out of the box till then Oh, and Mom got me some more flash batteries, too, the old rechargables were dying on us.

So now with the update on my life--here are some of my shots

Other noteworthy events that I don't have low res pics of at the moment (since Mom is too lazy to lower the resolution in them, hint hint, Mom)...her brother went to the Air Force Academy, her car is dying...there are some beautiful sunsets around here....and Amy and Mom and I have had a ton of fun photoshoots on her farm and around the countryside

's all for now!

Signing off,
The ever faithful, only,
Darby
